Statement -

I got the idea for this from a disabled woman I helped take care of. I asked how she coped with life and she said "– Grief and action.", so I have been thinking about my own sense of powerlessness in the face of the world's problems. For this work though, I was happy how the blue glitter worked well for stars and the copper glitter worked well for street lights at night. (The photo does not show these as well as the original).
